7/5/2023 0 Comments Endless sky storyline![]() Ideally, after we've started a storyline, we should always have an active story mission in the list telling us what we need to do (even if it is just "wait a while") until we're done with the whole storyline. Perhaps there should also be a repeatable "wait a while" story mission that gets auto-added every time you need to wait, and gets 'completed' when that "an important mission is available" message shows up? I still think those unstated wait times would be a problem even with those improvements, though. It would also help a lot if the important/story missions showed up with a different colored text or in a different (bold?) font in your missions list, so you didn't accidentally cancel something important (a problem I've seen a lot of people run into). But if, after a few jumps, the game popped up a window that said "an important mission is available at the spaceport on Zug", and maybe even auto-added a simple "go there" mission to your list, it would help immensely. It's not perfect since you'd still end up wandering around for a bit, wondering where to go next. I think a partial solution would be to add a pop-up notification as soon as the next story mission is available. Too easy to think you're done, or that you need to go somewhere else, and then you forget where the story actually left off, etc. Sure, it makes sense from an in-universe perspective (it takes a while to mobilize an army or whatever), but not from a gameplay perspective. ![]() But if you finish a standard story mission and you're not told that you need to wait an in-game week (or even a day) before the next one shows up, that's a problem. I mean, if Barmy Edward tells you he's working on something interesting that won't be done for a few weeks, that's fine you know you're supposed to wait. I think the worst part of it is unstated wait times. Relevant links: Official Site Steam Google Group Github Official Wiki Discord >!
